On Sunday, March 10, 2024, the 2024 Oscars were aired live on ABC and by broadcasters all around the world. The 96th Academy Awards ceremony was webcast live from the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood and hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.
If you have been following our Awards Leaderboard, you are aware that Oppenheimer had been sweeping the most of the prizes and was headed toward being the most awarded movie we have ever had since we started keeping track of them. With 13 nominations, it led the field for the Academy Awards, trailed by Killers of the Flower Moon, Barbie, Poor Things, and so on. In the end, it took home seven trophies, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Supporting Actor for Christopher Nolan.
