The Royal Rumble of 2024 provided a perfect stage for new feuds and debuts. Any WWE star’s career begins and ends with this match, especially if they are a talent who has never competed in that specific match type prior.
A few young NXT talent made an impact last night when they entered the men’s and women’s contests. Let’s analyse their standing and performance in their very first Royal Rumble matchups.
5. Ivy Nile
In November 2023, Ivy Nile made her Wwe debut with The Creed Brothers (Brutus and Julius Creed). The group has shown its skills in a matter of months. They were originally a member of the Diamond Mine stable and competed on NXT for three years.
Ivy Nile put up quite a battle to win the title against Rhea Ripley, the Women’s World Champion, at RAW: Day 1. Ivy Nile’s journey on the main roster has just begun, however it got off to an exciting start as she watched her first Royal Rumble bout.
The strength and in-ring agility of Ivy Nile made a lasting impression on the WWE Universe.
4. Jordynne Grace
The advertising partnership between TNA and WWE appears to have reached a new height. Despite being in another promotion, Mickie James, the IMPACT Women’s Champion at the time, attended the battle royal in 2022.
When Jordynne Grace, the current TNA Knockouts World Champion, entered the match a few years later, the barrier was once again broken. Naomi, a past rival of hers, was also competing; the two hugged before trading strikes.
Grace’s contract with TNA is still in effect, but making her stage debut at a major event is a remarkable achievement. The victor was ready to show off his power and domination. After the match, Triple H even praised the 27-year-old for his performance and addition.
3. Stratton Tiffany
Considering her achievements throughout her three years with the organisation, the former NXT Women’s Champion hardly needs an introduction.
Before her bout with Becky Lynch last year, Tiffany Stratton was almost guaranteed a spot on the main roster. The Buff Barbie’s skill in the ring even won over The Man. According to sources, the 24-year-old hinted at a call-up to the main roster last year, and WWE appears to be interested in the same.
Tiffany Stratton was entrant number 29 in her first Royal Rumble. She stormed into the ring, scaled the top rope, and delivered a Swanton on the punching WWE stars. The young talent is certain to make it to RAW or SmackDown in 2024 because to her incredible exploits in the squared circle.
2. Breakker Bron
The star of the second generation has been working really hard to make sure he makes a mark on the WWE Universe.
In March 2022, Bron Breakker made his RAW debut alongside Tommaso Ciampa, facing up against Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. The 26-year-old’s speed and strength were on full display during his altercation with the 7-foot-tall behemoth Omos at the Royal Rumble.
Breakker placed The Judgement Day on notice after the event, hinting at his return to the main roster and said that was where he belonged.
1. Jade Cargill makes her Royal Rumble debut
The wrestling world was eagerly awaiting Jade Cargill’s debut after her WWE deal shocked the internet in September of last year.
The entire audience was on their feet as the 31-year-old sent the WWE Universe into a frenzy when she entered the women’s Royal Rumble battle at number 28. There was little doubt that her Royal Rumble debut elicited an abundance of enthusiastic responses.
Putting on a show, she raised Nia Jax over her shoulders and gave her a hard slam on the mat. Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill were engaged in a power battle. Later, in a behind-the-scenes interview, the previous champion gave notice regarding the women’s category.
