This week, Microsoft also revealed new AI-powered features for its SwiftKey mobile keyboard software for iOS and Android, in addition to AI advancements in Windows 11 and Bing. This third-party app allows users to swap out their phone’s default keyboard for a smart keyboard that adapts to your writing style so you can type more quickly. Additionally, it will soon have AI camera lenses, AI stickers, an editor with AI, and the capability of creating AI images directly from the app.
Users of the new AI camera lenses will be able to take photos, videos, and GIFs with a variety of effects, including those enabled by Microsoft’s partnership with Snapchat creator Snap. According to the firm, there are currently over 250 tools and filters available to aid in your personal expression.
Additionally, Bing’s Image Creator, which enables users to create stickers based on your own images or selfies, also offers AI stickers. Then, when conversing in other communication applications like WhatsApp, Messenger, and others, you may share these with friends and family.
Now that Bing Image Creator is directly accessible from the app’s keyboard, you can upload an existing photo or take a new one to obtain Visual Search results from Bing in the app.
The app will also get an AI-powered “Editor” tool that can help users in spelling, grammar, and punctuation. You can select any sentence to use this option, and the editor will immediately provide feedback and suggestions.
Since tying SwiftKey to Bing early this year to enable users to search with Bing, talk with Bing talk, or use AI to alter the tone of their text, Microsoft has been working on upgrading SwiftKey for several months.
SwiftKey is receiving the latest features on both iOS and Android.
