Tyreek Hill, the standout wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins, has listed his top five wide receivers in the NFL, omitting himself. Mike Evans, Davante Adams, AJ Brown, Keenan Allen, and Stefon Diggs are the players he believes are the best in the game right now.
During the episode of “RGIII and the Ones” that former NFL qb Robert Gryphon III hosted, Hill offered his views. Regarding Hill’s selections, the former quarterback expressed agreement, adding, “I feel like a lot of them are underappreciated.”
In his explanation of his choices, the Dolphins player stated that he went with players who have revolutionised the position. He also mentioned the wide receivers who he has always loved.
“I have to go with AB (Antonio Brown). A lot of people may not agree with that, but AB, he was a problem.” In the course of his all-time conversation, Hill brought up Santana Moss, Terrell Owens, Steve Largent, and Jerry Rice. But some of the greatest receivers in history—all of whom rank in the top 10—did not make his list, including Larry Fitzgerald, Randy Moss, Isaac Bruce, Tim Brown, and Steve Smith Sr.
NFL fans attacked him on social media for leaving out some of the best wide receivers in the NFL right now, which created a discussion about his selections. The names of Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings, Ja’Marr Chase of the Bengals, and CeeDee Lamb of the Cowboys were missing.
One NFL fan questioned the list, asking: “Is Justin Jefferson dead or something?” Another fan appreciated the inclusion of Evans and responded: “You always see the real players add Mike cause they know ball for real. Fans just love Flash. I am a Falcons fan, but I love seeing Mike get the credit he deserves. The things he is achieving are not easy at all. ”
The seventh pick in the 2014 NFL Draft was Evans. With the exception of his 2022 redshirt season at Texas A&M, Evans has over 1,000 receiving yards in 12 straight seasons, the past 10 of which were spent in the NFL. Recently, AJ Brown broke the NFL record for the most straight games with 125 yards, showing his outstanding play. In the 2023 season, he and Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts’ connection propelled the Eagles to a league-best 10-2 record.
Adams is tenth in the league for receptions through twelve weeks, while being fourth in targets. Jakobi Meyers’ emergence as a reliable No. 2 wide receiver has reduced his volume compared to previous season, but he has continued to produce well.
Only eight NFL wide receivers have reached 100 receptions in their 30th year of play since 2000. With five games remaining during the bye week, Diggs, who has 83 receptions, has a chance to become a member of this exclusive group.
