Beyoncé is focused on achieving her next big thing, which will be another Renaissance!
The singer of “Break My Soul” declared that March 29 will mark the release of “act ii” of her 2022 album. Beyoncé revealed a taste of her new, country-inspired sound to her fans in an Instagram video featuring her driving across a desert. A song with the lines “This ain’t Texas, ain’t no hold’em, so lay your cards down, down, down, down” may be performed.
Everything started when Beyoncé hinted at her list of “firsts” in a Verizon Wireless ad, aiming to break the Internet.
A few of the highlights were Beyoncé’s sly space glances, her “Let’s Get Saxy” soul album, yoncéB, and her take on Barbie, dubbed BarBey. The musician teased new songs and a “surprise drop” in part of the clip, which ended with the commercial.
Following a successful year for the diva, Beyoncé made her announcement. The 42-year-old went on a worldwide tour in 2023 to promote her Renaissance album, which ran from May to October. On December 1, Beyoncé’s Renaissance: A Film, which included behind-the-scenes material, released the tour on film.
“I practically slept in the edit, color, and mix sessions,” Beyoncé said in an Instagram post as the film was released. “The race against time continued in order to get this film out so quickly. But it was so worth all the grind. I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of love from my Hive.”
Midway through the second quarter of Sunday night’s championship game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers, Beyoncé made her appearance. As the musician arrived at the stadium in a golf cart, applause broke out.
Beyoncé’s family, including her husband Jay-Z and kids Rumi, 6, and Blue Ivy, 12, arrived on the field early in the evening to watch the game. Sir, Rumi’s twin, is the other child the singing duo had together.
Usher’s halftime performance was preceded by Beyoncé’s arrival. The performers have already worked together on the song “Love in This Club Part II” and performed Usher’s “Bad Girl” as a duo as early as 2004. Even though the two had previously shared the stage, Beyoncé did not show up with any of the surprise attendees, which included Alicia Keys, HER, Ludacris, Will I Am, and Lil Jon.
Among the other famous people present on Sunday night were Lana Del Rey, Justin and Hailey Bieber, Bad Bunny, Paul McCartney, Blake Lively, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, and more.
After Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and Blue went to the 2024 Grammy Awards together on February 4, Super Bowl night was the Carter family’s second public appearance of the month. After accepting the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award, Jay-Z took the stage to discuss Beyoncé’s lack of album of the year nominations.
“But, you know, some things — I don’t want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than everyone and never won album of the year,” JAY-Z said, while daughter Blue stood beside him on stage. “So even by your own metrics, that doesn’t work. Think about that. The most Grammys, never won album of the year. That doesn’t work.”
He added, “You know, some of you gonna go home tonight and feel like you’ve been robbed. Some of you may get robbed. Some of you don’t belong in a category. No, when I get nervous I tell the truth.”
Super Bowl LVIII between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs is currently airing on CBS.
