This weekend, Daytona International Speedway will play host to the Daytona 500. The 500-lap, action-packed race that will kick off the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season is scheduled to start at 2:30 pm ET on Sunday, February 18, 2023.
This racing weekend, qualifying sessions will begin on Wednesday (Feb. 14) in advance of the Daytona 500 on Sunday. In an effort to claim pole for Sunday’s main event, each of the 42 competitors in the field will complete a single lap.
In qualifying, the driver with the best time will take the pole position, while the second-fastest driver will secure the second position on the front row. The Bluegreen Vacations Duels races on Thursday night will determine the remainder of the grid.
