The Kung Fu Panda franchise expands with its first film in eight years. And if you don’t have enough movies to watch together with the whole family, you’ll soon have more to stream with your Peacock subscription.
In Kung Fu Panda 4, fuzzy food-obsessed fighter Po goes from dragon warrior to spiritual leader of the Valley of Peace and must find a successor. The film also sees the bear, voiced by Jack Black, facing off against a shape-shifting chameleon sorcerer played by Viola Davis. While the Furious Five don’t have particularly major roles in the fourth film, other cast members include Awkwafina, Bryan Cranston, James Hong, Dustin Hoffman, Ian McShane, and Ke Huy Quan.
If you weren’t able to fit the latest Kung Fu Panda into your schedule, NBCUniversal’s streaming service is adding the comedy to its collection of Kung Fu Panda movies (the first three are already streaming on the platform). Here’s what you need to know about streaming, and why you might want to consider using a VPN.
When can you watch Kung Fu Panda 4 on Peacock?
US viewers can watch Po’s adventures as early as Friday, June 21 at 6pm ET/3am PT.
Do you have a Peacock subscription? On July 18, Peacock’s Premium tier will increase from $6 to $8 per month (or from $60 to $80 per year), and its Premium Plus tier will increase from $12 to $14 per month (or from $120 to $140 per year). Existing subscribers have until August 17 to see the new prices applied on their next billing date. Premium includes ads, while Premium Plus is largely ad-free and lets you live stream local NBC stations and download titles to watch offline.
How to watch Kung Fu Panda 4 from anywhere with a VPN
Maybe you’re traveling abroad and want to stream Peacock on the go? A VPN allows you to virtually change your location on your phone, tablet, or laptop to access movies from anywhere in the world. There are other good reasons to use a VPN for streaming.
A VPN is the best way to encrypt your traffic to prevent speed throttling by your ISP. Using a VPN is also a good idea if you’re traveling and want to add an extra layer of privacy to your devices and logins when connecting to WiFi networks. A reliable, high-quality VPN that has passed our tests and meets our security standards can make streaming TV a little smoother.
As long as VPNs are allowed in your country and you have a valid subscription to the streaming service you use, you can use one to legally stream content. The US and Canada are among the countries where VPNs are legal, but we recommend that you don’t stream or download content on illegal torrent sites. We recommend ExpressVPN, but you can choose another provider from our best list, such as Surfshark or NordVPN.
Follow your VPN provider’s installation instructions and select the country where Kung Fu Panda 4 is streaming on Peacock. Make sure you’re connected to your VPN via your selected region before opening the streaming app. If you stream Kung Fu Panda on multiple devices, you may need to reconfigure each device to make sure you’re logged in. Go to Settings and check your network connection to log into your VPN account and make sure you’re connected. You can now open Peacock and stream.
If you’re having trouble streaming, first make sure your VPN is running on an encrypted IP address. Double-check that you followed the installation instructions correctly and selected the correct geographic region you want to view. If you continue to have connection issues, you may need to restart your device. Close all apps and windows, restart your device, and connect to your VPN first. Note that some streaming services restrict VPN access.
