Google doodle celebrates the National Day in the United Arab Emirates

Today’s Doodle honors the United Arab Emirates’ National Day. Together, the six emirates of Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Sharjah, and Umm Al Quwain formed the United Arab Emirates as an independent country on this day in 1971. Ras Al Khaimah, the seventh emirate, became a member of the federation in 1972.

People use the red, green, and white UAE flags, which stand for the unity of the UAE, to decorate their homes, cars, and places of business in honor of the country’s 53 years of independence. With patriotic speeches interwoven with acrobatics and theatrical performances, official celebrations weave the tale of the country’s development into a major center for technology and business.

Schoolchildren perform traditional dances like the Al Yowla while dressed in traditional thobe and kandura. Car displays and rallies are other well-liked events. Delightful fireworks displays, frequently timed to music and lasers, light up the sky as night falls.

Happy National Day, United Arab Emirates!
