A more innocent children’s game takes a sinister turn as “Squid Game” returns with more carnage and mayhem.
In the second season, which premieres this week, Gi-hun, or Player 456, once again takes part in a dangerous game where unsuspecting South Korean citizens must risk their lives to win a huge cash prize. But this time, Ki-hoon has a plan: he wants to end this terrible competition once and for all.
In February, Netflix premiered the wildly popular Korean series that inspired a non-lethal reality TV show late last year. And more production on Squid Game is in the works, with creator Hwang Dong-hyuk confirming that a third and final season is expected to arrive in 2025.

Netflix is the only place to watch all seasons of “Squid Game,” as well as “Squid Game: The Challenge,” its reality competition equivalent.

Cast of “Squid Game” Season 2
Lee Jung-jae, the first Asian actor to win the lead actor in a drama series award, returns as Gi-hun after earning an Emmy for the role in 2022.
