BTS members RM and Jungkook are both set to have feature-length documentaries released next month.
“RM: Right People, Wrong Place,” directed by Lee Seok-jun and distributed by CJ 4DPLEX, will premiere at the Busan International Film Festival in October.
The film “tells the story of the production of [RM’s] second solo album, ‘Right Place, Wrong Person’, which was released in May. The film adds meaning as a record of BTS’ leader RM, solo artist RM, and human Kim Namjoon as a self-exploration while also embodying the sensual cinematography that was well received in the music video of his solo album, giving the impression of watching an art film,” CJ told 4DPLEX in a statement.
Director Lee previously participated in the production of the music videos for “Arson” and “MORE,” the double title track from BTS’s J-Hope’s solo album Jack in the Box.

Hive Inc. is also the creator of the previously announced feature film “Jung Kook: I Am Still,” which chronicles the artist’s eight-month journey following his historic solo debut with “Seven (feat. Latto)” in July 2023.
Events specialty distributor Trafalgar Releasing will release the film on September 18. The release will expand to 120 countries, though the company says screenings will be limited.
The two companies said they would support ongoing distribution by releasing clips from the film ahead of its release and offering digital surprises throughout the film’s four-week run. The digital surprises will be accessible on mobile devices via QR codes at the end of the main screening. Fans will have access to new video clips every week starting September 18.
Jungkook has become a major solo artist. His singles “3D (feat. Jack Harlow)” and “Standing Next to You” reached the top 10, making him the first K-pop solo artist to have three songs simultaneously in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. His album “Golden” spent 24 weeks on the Billboard 200.
Hybe said “Jung Kook: I Am Still” is the 10th feature film produced by BTS. Movies by or about BTS are hugely popular on specific and general streaming platforms. Earlier this year, Asia-focused streamer Rakuten Viki announced nine BTS movies and variety shows. Previously, five BTS movies were available on the Disney+ platform. And in May, South Korean joint venture waA announced a deal with Hybe for BTS and Seventeen shows on U.S. streamer KOCOWA+.
