BTS ARMY, we have a surprise for you from Jimin!
The singer will release his second solo album, “MUSE,” in July, his record label BIGHIT MUSIC announced on Weverse.
“Following his first solo album, ‘FACE,’ where he sought to explore his true identity, ‘MUSE’ documents his journey in search of the source of his inspiration,” the announcement said.
The upcoming album was also teased on BTS’s X account, featuring a reel of Jimin in a suit and with bright hair. The short clip showed him opening a purple sheet music locker.
“MUSE” will also showcase Jimin’s expanded musical range. The album will include seven songs, including the fan song “Closer Than This,” which is scheduled for release in December 2023.
Pre-orders will open on Tuesday, June 18 at 10AM Philippine time.
The album will be released on Friday, July 19 at 12PM Philippine time.
March 2023 marked the release of Jimin’s debut solo album “Face,” which features the popular singles “Set Me Free Pt. 2” and “Like Crazy.” The music for “Fast X” features the top idol as well.
In April 2023, Jimin became the first Korean solo artist to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
BTS is currently on hiatus as the members complete their military service. They plan to reunite as a group in 2025.
