DICE Awards 2024: How to Watch and What to Know?

The 27th annual D.I.C.E. Awards, which recognize the best in the world of video games, will be held soon. The show will begin later this week in Las Vegas and will once again be hosted by IGN’s Stella Chung and Kinda Funny CEO and IGN’s Greg Miller.

IGN is also the show’s official media partner, and this guide will tell you everything you need to know about this year’s D.I.C.E. You need to know. We’ll explain the awards, including how you can watch them together and what you can expect.

DICE Awards 2024 Start Time

D.I.C.E. The 2024 Awards Ceremony will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 8:00 PM PT/11:00 PM ET. If you live in a GMT or AEST time zone, this means 4am GMT/2pm AEST on Friday 16th February.

What to Expect from DICE Awards 2024

The 27th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards are once again presented by the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (AIAS) and will be held at the Aria Resort in Las Vegas. Hosted by IGN’s Stella Chung and her girlfriend Greg Miller, Kinda Funny CEO and IGN alum, we’ll help you celebrate the best games of 2024.

Unlike other award ceremonies, the D.I.C.E. awards are decided by voting exclusively by a jury of game developers. In a sense, it’s an award ceremony where the person who developed the game recognizes the game. This year, 56 games were nominated, with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 taking the top spot with nine nominations. Alan Wake 2 followed closely with eight nominations, followed by Baldur’s Gate 3 with seven and Cocoon with six.

When it comes to Game of the Year, the games vying for top honors are Alan Wake 2, Baldur’s Gate 3, Cocoon, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kindgom. A complete list of candidates can be found below.

Usually, D.I.C.E. doesn’t make many announcements. This award highlights the amazing creators behind some of our favorite experiences from the past year. However, never say “never”!

Finally, the D.I.C.E. Award honors Nintendo’s legendary composer and sound director Koji Kondo by welcoming him to the D.I.C.E. Group. Hall of Fame. You may not know his name, but Kondo is the creator of the original Super Mario Bros., the original Legend of Zelda, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Bros.
