Elon Musk launched his own artificial intelligence company

Elon Musk, who has recently voiced his disapproval of artificial intelligence, appears to be planning something related to AI. The Wall Street Journal and The Financial Times report that Musk has established a new artificial intelligence company called X.AI Corp.

The sources have viewed a state filing from the previous month, which indicates that the new company is incorporated in Nevada and lists Musk as the sole director, with Jared Birchall, the director of his family’s offices, serving as the secretary. The multi-organization chief is known to have an extraordinary partiality for the letter “X” and has even as of late renamed Twitter, Inc. as X Corp.

Musk is no more interesting to man-made intelligence projects. Before leaving the company nearly a decade ago, he co-founded OpenAI. However, Musk signed an open letter urging technology leaders to halt ChatGPT’s development for six months after the technology’s meteoric rise in popularity.

According to the Journal, Musk believes that ChatGPT is politically biased, that he wants to create AI models that are “truth-seeking,” and that he once mentioned the “danger of training AI to be woke.”

But Musk’s plans for X.AI Corp. and whether he wants to build a real rival to ChatGPT are still unknown at this point. Previous reports indicate how Musk’s AI efforts are progressing, despite the lack of specifics.

In March, he is said to have hired two former DeepMind researchers, one of whom is scientist Igor Babuschkin, who is said to be in charge of the new project. Additionally, 10,000 GPUs for AI development at one of Twitter’s data centers were reportedly purchased by Musk. Additionally, according to The Times, he is currently negotiating with investors in Tesla and SpaceX to fund his new venture.
