Heartland soccer fans have been eagerly anticipating the 2022 FIFA World Cup games that Kansas City will host since 2022. The results are in now that two years have passed.
Six games—four group stage matches, one round of 32 match, and one quarterfinal match—will be held in Kansas City.
The games on the group stage are slated for:
- June 16th, Tuesday
- June 20th, Saturday
- June 25th, Thursday
- June 27th, Saturday
The quarterfinal meeting between KC and the other team is set for Saturday, July 11, and the round of 32 is set for Friday, July 3.
For the first time since 1994, the men’s tournament will hold events in the United States in 2026.
Kansas City defeated a number of bigger metro areas, including Orlando, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C., in its quest to be the host city.
Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Guadalajara, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Miami, Monterrey, New York/New Jersey, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, and Vancouver are among the other cities that will host the FIFA World Cup in 2026.
