Being productive at work is one thing. Being productive at work while maintaining a balance in your personal life are two entirely different mindsets. Of course, you can just prioritize productivity and focus on your work, but that won’t get you very far. To stay productive and motivated all the time, you need to be in good health.
Samsung’s latest Galaxy Watch Ultra is the wearable you need to reach your full potential. The Galaxy Watch Ultra (or Galaxy Watch7 if you prefer a rotating bezel and a more traditional look) comes equipped with easy-to-use health features that lead to notable health benefits. Another new addition to the lineup is the Galaxy Watch FE Bluetooth with two buttons and a digital bezel, 1.5GB of RAM, and a battery that lasts up to 40 hours on a full charge.
Here are some ways the Galaxy Watch Ultra can help you live the healthiest life possible:
1. Know your sleep quality
A good day starts with a good night’s sleep. Feeling tired during the day can affect your productivity. There are many different reasons for poor sleep and many potential solutions, but it helps to start with having data to monitor your sleep and identify trends. With the Samsung Health app, you can monitor your sleep with Galaxy Watch Ultra and receive a daily report each morning on your sleep score, sleep duration, and snoring detection and consistency.
Sleep monitoring is automatic, so there’s no need to start or stop it. Your watch uses sensors to determine when your sleep cycle starts and ends, and tracks the four stages of sleep: light sleep, deep sleep, REM sleep, and wake time. You can also set your watch to measure your blood oxygen level (SpO2) and skin temperature. When paired with your Galaxy Watch, you can view your sleep data on your Samsung Galaxy phone, such as the Galaxy Z Fold6.
2. Improve your sleep
Have you ever noticed that you often don’t get the sleep you need? Galaxy Watch FE gives you a sleep coach on your wrist with advanced sleep coaching powered by Galaxy AI. By answering a few simple questions, you can set up a customized program. Your watch can assign you to a jolly “sleep animal” – a sensitive hedgehog. – based on your data and answers. The animal will guide you through weeks of missions, checklists, sleep-related articles, meditation guides and more to improve your sleep habits.
If you plan to use your Galaxy Watch Ultra as a sleep monitor, consider purchasing the ultra-lightweight fabric strap (sold separately) for maximum comfort while you sleep. The Galaxy Watch Ultra is also the perfect wearable device if you want to try other specialized sleep coaching apps. Samsung’s Advanced Sleep Coaching is free and integrated into the Samsung Health app, making it a great place to get started.
3. Stay on track with your fitness goals
Whether you work out regularly or only make time every now and then when your schedule allows (obviously), you know how invigorating a good workout can be. No matter your fitness level, Galaxy Watch Ultra provides helpful performance insights on duration, distance, calories burned, and more, giving you extra motivation to reach your goals. The watch automatically detects popular activities like walking, running, cycling, rowing, swimming, and elliptical, and helps you manually track over 90 additional exercises.
With all your fitness data available right on your wrist, Galaxy Watch Ultra sets itself apart from other fitness trackers in one simple yet visible way: its display. It’s Samsung’s biggest watch screen to date, and it has a titanium cushion frame for extra durability, so you can see all the information you need at a glance, without breaking stride.
4. Find your zone
Heart rate zones quantify exercise intensity based on heart rate percentages. Training in different heart rate zones allows you to tailor your workout to your goals, including endurance, aerobic capacity, fat burning and anaerobic fitness. Another great fitness feature on Galaxy Watch Ultra is the ability to set your personalized heart rate zone for your first 10 minutes of outdoor running. You can then aim for your preferred intensity on each subsequent run, whether that’s an easy jog in Zone 2 or a sprint in Zone 5.
Personalized heart rate zones also help you know your limits and push you into a healthy range. That way you can reap the benefits of training without the drawbacks of training too hard or getting injured.
5. Watch your heart
If you’re generally healthy, you might not think about monitoring your heart. However, heart rate data can be extremely useful. In 2023, Samsung announced it had received FDA clearance for its Irregular Heart Rate Notification (IHRN) feature, which debuted on the Galaxy Watch in the Galaxy Watch 6 series. IHRN on the Galaxy Watch Ultra periodically measures your heart rate and alerts you when an irregular heart rate is detected. In this case, you can perform an electrocardiogram, an FDA-approved measurement, to see if the irregular heart rate is due to atrial fibrillation (Afib). It may also be worth calling your doctor to get tested. Now you can easily share your ECG recordings with your doctor in the Samsung Health app.
Hong Park, vice president and head of the digital health team at Samsung Electronics, said the IHRN is designed to help millions of people around the world who may be unaware of potential heart risks, and said the IHRN is “yet another example of how Samsung prioritizes proactive safety solutions and enables users to receive a more holistic understanding of their cardiovascular and overall health.”
6. Know Your Body Better
Samsung’s Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) in the Galaxy Watch Ultra uses advanced technology to track your body composition based on the following data: weight, body fat, body mass index (BMI), skeletal muscle, body water, and basal metabolic rate (BMR). This isn’t intended to specifically diagnose or treat any medical conditions, but it gives you even more data to help you regulate your body and manage your busy life accordingly. For example, if you notice that your BMI has been slowly increasing over the course of several months, this could be an indication that you need to reprioritize your exercise. If your BMI is increasing and you’re already exercising, it could be a sign that you need to adjust your diet. Becoming familiar with body measurements, especially your own, will help you be better equipped to make decisions that will improve your health.
7. Let go of your phone
If you’re constantly working, the thought of going without your phone can make you anxious. But remember, work-life balance is important. With Galaxy Watch Ultra, you can leave your phone at home and boost your health from the inside out while you walk, run, or even swim, thanks to the watch’s maximum water resistance. Galaxy Watch Ultra also comes with Samsung’s first high-precision dual-frequency GPS system, improving tracking accuracy during longer walks and runs. Incoming calls, text messages, and emails can be paired and displayed on your Galaxy Watch. There are also various options to enable or disable notifications based on your settings. You can be in touch or not, depending on what you want.
The Bluetooth functionality of the Galaxy Watch FE allows you to add payment cards, digital IDs, boarding passes and more to your phone and pair it with your watch and Samsung Wallet to add the functionality you want to your watch settings.
The Galaxy Watch FE also allows you to use some of the most popular third-party apps like Google Maps, Peloton, Spotify and more. You don’t even need your phone to take photos. Galaxy Watch FE’s camera remote view lets you pinch your fingers to zoom in or out to get the perfect shot, then set a timer or tap the shutter button.
Best of all, the Galaxy Watch FE is a great example of a multi-device experience, as it can seamlessly sync with other devices.
If you’re an executive, the Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Watch7, or Galaxy Watch FE Bluetooth not only lets you manage your own health, but also equips your team with their own Galaxy Watch. In some cases, some insurance companies even received a bonus. And to ensure sensitive information is protected at every level of the device, the Galaxy Watch7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra are now supported by Knox Manage, Samsung’s cross-platform enterprise mobility management solution. Corporate IT managers and administrators can now configure, track, and manage their wearables remotely.
Samsung’s latest and greatest wearables promote healthy habits, making them a central part of any modern corporate wellness program. Your team will be happier and healthier, both individually and collectively.
