Glinda, Elphaba, and Other Playable “Wicked” Characters Arrive in the Video Game “Funko Fusion”

This week’s release of downloadable content related to the Universal movie in the action-adventure video game “Funko Fusion” on Tuesday will make “Wicked” even more popular.

The September release of the game, created by 10:10 Games, features numerous Funko Pop! figurines of well-known pop culture characters. With hero Freddy Funko and his evil twin Eddy Funko, the game is a cooperative action game that mashes characters from popular IP series like “Jurassic World,” “Back to the Future,” “Five Nights at Freddy’s,” and more into the popular, mostly NBCUniversal, Funko Pop! format.

“Wicked” now joins a roster of Universal’s “Funko Fusion” partnerships, which will also soon feature several NBC “The Office” characters.

Two different “Funko Fusion” DLC packs featuring the “Wicked” cast will be offered for $7.99 each: Glinda (played by Ariana Grande in “Wicked”) and Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) are now playable in the game thanks to Pack 1, while Madame Morrible (Michelle Yeoh) and The Wizard (Jeff Goldblum) are added in Pack 2.

The Wicked Movie package allows players to play as Madame Morrible, Elphaba, Glinda, The Wizard, or any other Funko Fusion figure with up to three pals in the recently released online cooperative mode, according to Funko. Create a whole team of your favorite characters and combine your fandoms in previously unthinkable crossover combinations!

Steam offers the new “Funko Fusion” and “Wicked” content for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.

“Wicked” saw another strong showing at the box office over the Thanksgiving holiday, taking second place with $81.1 million over the regular weekend and $118.2 million over the five-day holiday period. As of Sunday, director Jon M. Chu’s big-screen adaptation of the well-known Broadway musical had brought in $263.1 million in North America and $359.2 million worldwide.
