Halloween Havoc 2023: Lyra Valkyria beats Becky Lynch to win the NXT women’s title

Even while you know someday that’s going to happen, you don’t typically expect to see someone like Becky Lynch lose a championship like the NXT women’s title, regardless of who her opponent may be. A changeover might occur in the main event of “Halloween Havoc” on NXT television this week in Orlando, thanks to the excellent job that WWE made in developing Lyra Valkyria as a top challenger for her as well.

And sure enough, Valkyria succeeded!

It’s important to note that Jade Cargill arrived just before the two arrived to sit on a throne and conduct some scouting. With no sign of who specifically she was aiming for or whose company she would eventually join, she has been travelling the world on tour with WWE. It appeared important as this was her second appearance in such proximity to the NXT championship.

The real match served as an example of the two people’s past conversations, with Valkyria arriving ready to take on anything Lynch had to offer. Lyra was prepared for everything and at the end she had pinned Lynch’s shoulders to the mat for the three count to win her maiden NXT championship. Becky is constantly changing, though, and they made sure to emphasise that here.

After that, Lynch herself gave Valkyria the title before smiling and giving her an embrace. She then raised her arm in victory.

Cargill was observing throughout.
