Here are 7 tips for having healthy and glowing skin this summer

The summer season takes a toll on your skin, stripping it of its natural glow and essential oils. While you can go to a salon for some high-quality skincare, the weather might make anyone reluctant to leave the house. So, if you’re seeking for ways to maintain a healthy skin in the comfort of your own home, we’ve got some simple answers for you. These DIY tips will not only help you take care of your skin this summer, but they will also save you money.

1. Get Your Skin Exfoliated

It is essential that you exfoliate your skin on a regular basis. Why? Every minute of every day, your body releases skin cells, and if you don’t get rid of them, they settle on your skin, making your face look dull and dry. You can put as much lotion as you want on your skin, but if you don’t exfoliate, you won’t obtain glowing skin. Please keep in mind that a body scrub and a face scrub are two separate products that cannot be used together.

2. Sunscreen

In this searing weather, you have to be courageous to leave the house without sunscreen. SPF 30 and SPF 70 sunscreens with UVA or UVB protection are available. Don’t use last year’s sunscreen; instead, discard it and purchase a new one. A teaspoon of sunscreen should be plenty for your skin, and you should reapply it every 2-3 hours if you spend too much time in the sun.

3. Makeup is kept to a minimum

Summer requires a less-makeup look, or even a natural appearance. Sunscreen and face cream would suffice to get you set for the day on the face. Apply a gloss or a lip balm with an SPF of 15 to your lips to make them look younger. If you want to use foundation, set it with a face powder that contains SPF to avoid a cakey or uneven appearance. In the summer, avoid using eye makeup.

4. Add Fruits And Vegetables To Your Diet

Topically applying antioxidants is insufficient. You must nourish your skin properly to keep it glowing. Summertime requires a healthy diet. Fruits and vegetables should be consumed in large quantities. They are high in important vitamins, nutrients, and antioxidants, which help to stimulate collagen formation, reduce inflammation, and protect your skin from the sun’s harmful rays.

5. Mist for the Face

This summer, a face mist can keep your face hydrated and cool. A facial mist can be made at home, and the methods are simple. Place a green tea bag in boiling water for a few minutes, then remove it and set it aside to cool. 4 drops tea tree essential oil to the liquid, pour into a bottle, and shake well to ensure perfect mixing. Keep it in a spray bottle because it will be easier to use. Mists instantly cool, relax, and moisturise your skin. Apply this to your skin on a daily basis if you have acne-prone or oily skin.

6. Water

Only water will make you feel refreshed, no matter how many fruit drinks or other liquids you consume. Drink at least 8 glasses of water per day to avoid dehydration and to aid in the removal of toxins from the body.

7. Get Enough Exercise

Don’t give up if the summer heat, perspiration, and humidity are keeping you off the treadmill. While staying in and watching a movie while sipping iced tea seems appealing, exercise is also essential for maintaining healthy skin during the summer.

Physical activity increases blood flow, which means more oxygen reaches your skin cells. As a result, any tissue damage (such as a sunburn or acne) heals quickly. Do you find going to the gym to be tedious? Zumba is a great way to spice up your workout regimen. Even better, try hiking, cycling, or volleyball with your pals. Any type of exercise is beneficial to your health.
