The most anticipated athletic event of the year is soon upon us… The day when Team Ruff and Team Fluff face off in the Puppy Bowl, going paw-to-paw to see who wins the Lombarky trophy. This year’s lineup is impressive as well; according to Discovery’s website, “131 puppy players from 73 shelters and rescues across 36 states and territories” are registered to compete. The tournament is commemorating its 20th year. It’s going to be an amazing event, and hopefully one that finds these puppies lots of forever homes.
If you’re eager to see this competition, you’ll find the locations to watch it below. In addition, there’s more information about the event itself and the reasons it’s important to go.
How to Watch the Live Puppy Bowl
On the Discovery website, it states that the three-hour Puppy Bowl will be “simulcast across Animal Planet, Discovery, TBS, truTV, Max, and discovery+.” We’ve included links to Max and Discovery+ below, as well as live TV service alternatives for Animal Planet, Discovery, TBS, and truTV. Some of these offer a free trial, so you can use them without committed to a full membership. While the latter offers a 7-day free trial and starts at $4.99/month with advertisements, the former is available for $9.99/month with no free trial. Thus, make use of that free trial if you want to view the game without paying any money.
When is Puppy Bowl 2024?
There will be a pre-show at 1pm ET/10am PT before the Puppy Bowl airs on Sunday, February 11 at 2pm ET/11am PT. While you watch it, you’ll have time to prepare some delicious snacks for when Super Bowl 58 officially begins at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT. It’s a great way to spend the afternoon.
What is The Puppy Bowl?
The Puppy Bowl is much more than simply a chance to see these adorable animals battle it out for the Lombarky trophy. Actually, the purpose of the occasion is to draw attention to how important adoption is. The presentation will feature a number of Adoptable Pup parts featuring adoptable pups from 14 shelters and rescues across the nation, in addition to the puppy players. A few of the pieces will also feature kittens.
Most significantly, in celebration of the event’s 20th anniversary, Warner Bros. Discovery has partnered with Best Friends Animal Society to contribute this year. They would, according to Discovery, “match donations to cover adoption fees for Best Friends Animal Society’s lifesaving centres nationwide” from February 7–14. There is never a better moment to adopt a furry pet if that’s your goal.
Watch these puppies play in the Puppy Bowl on Sunday, February 11 at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT to show your support (and enjoy this fantastic gallery of puppy players). Both the cause and the event are wonderful to support and watch. Who knows, perhaps one of these puppies will win your heart!
