Agatha All Along marks the return of Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness, a witch who first appeared in Marvel’s 2021 series WandaVision. Disguised as Wanda Maximoff’s (Elizabeth Olsen) nosy neighbor, Agatha uses the Darkhold, a book of powerful spells, to steal Wanda’s powers as the Scarlet Witch. But her plan backfires, stripping Wanda of her magical powers.

The series begins with Harkness “down and out of power,” as a shady goth teenager helps free Harkness from a perverse curse. “Her interest is piqued when he begs her to take him on the legendary Witches’ Road, a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards a witch with what they’re missing,” the synopsis continues. “Together, Agatha and this mysterious Teen pull together a desperate coven, and set off down, down, down The Road…”

“Through this personal journey, we open the world of the MCU to witches, which is so awesome, and also we really open up the message of finding one`s own power,” Hahn said in a recent interview with USA Today. “How do we evolve? How do we look at growing older? Can we see that it’s the most powerful chapters the older we get? That the wisdom that we have gained becomes an asset and not a liability is really charged and exciting.”

In addition to Hahn, others include Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Aarn, Maria Dizzia, Paul Adelstein, Miles Gutierrez Reilly, Okwui Okpokwasili, Debra Jo Rupp, Patti LuPone and Aubrey Plaza will join the cast of Agatha All Along first season.
