The 2024 NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Championship berths will be announced during the NCAA.com Selection Show on March 10 at 11 p.m. The regional quarterfinals begin the qualifying round on Saturday, March 16th and continue through the national championships on March 30th at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana.
Nova Southeastern won its first national championship in 2023, making program history by defeating West Liberty 111-101 in the title game.
The Division II Men’s Basketball Championship will have a field of 64 teams, with eight qualifiers from each region competing at his one regional venue. 23 teams will automatically qualify and the remaining 41 teams will receive an at-large bid into the tournament. Once the eight regional championships are complete, each team will advance to the Men’s Elite 8, which will be held at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana.

History of the DII men’s basketball championship
The DII men’s basketball national championship was originally awarded to Wheaton (Ill.) in 1957; it was postponed until 2020 due to COVID-19. The most successful team is Kentucky Wesleyan, having won eight national titles. Evansville had five more titles after that.
