Thousands of soccer fans are eagerly awaiting the start of the Copa America 2024. For the second time in history, the event described as the “The World’s Oldest Continental Tournament” will be held in the United States.
On Thursday (June 20), the 71,000-seat Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta will see the start of the 2024 Copa America, marking the start of an exciting month for soccer. The opening ceremony will begin one hour before the first match, scheduled for 8 pm Eastern time, which will feature the 2021 Copa America champions Argentina national team and Canada.
The men’s soccer tournament, organized by the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL), will be held at 14 venues across the United States, including cities such as Las Vegas, Kansas City, and Los Angeles. The 32-match tournament will culminate on July 14 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, where the top two teams will compete for the league title in the 48th edition of the tournament.
This year’s tournament will feature a new format, with 16 teams competing for the 2024 Copa America Championship title instead of the usual 12. Of these, 10 teams represent CONMEBOL, while six represent the Northern Confederation and the Central American and Caribbean Football Confederation (CONCAF).

In United States:
Copa America 2024 will be available in Spanish on Univision, TUDN and UniMás in the US. It will also be available on streaming services FuboTV and TUDN.
In Latin America:
In Mexico, TV stations Televisa, Canal 5 and Azteca 7 will broadcast the match. You can also watch it for a fee on TUDN and for free on streaming application VIX.
In Colombia, the matches will be broadcast for free on the Caracol and RCN channels. They will also be available on DIRECTV’s pay signal.
In Argentina, you can watch them for free on TV Pública, Telefe and TyC Sports. In addition, DIRECTV offers the games as a monthly subscription.
In Spain:
All 32 games will be available for free on the 3Cat platform. They will be fully available on TV3 and Esport3, as well as on the Movistar+ subscription service.
