The much-awaited Hulu reality series about the dramatic Vanderpumps is now available. On Monday, April 1, “Vanderpump Villa,” which follows matriarch Lisa Vanderpump’s hand-picked employees as they work (and play) at her restaurant in an exclusive French estate, will debut.
The unscripted docudrama’s first three episodes are now only available to stream on Hulu. New episodes of the show release every Monday. You will need to get a Hulu account in order to stream the first season as soon as it becomes available; monthly subscriptions cost $7.99.
According to the show’s official logline, each “scintillating episode follows the elite staff as they try to provide luxurious, once-in-a-lifetime, Vanderpump-curated experiences for guests while dealing with rivalries, romances and raucous misadventures that come with living and working together 24/7.”
Producers held a casting call for interested restaurant experts before the 10-episode reality program began filming. Head chef, mixologist, sous-chef, line cook, housekeeper, fine dining waiter, event organizer, event assistant, and estate manager were among the positions that were available. Additionally, the casting call stated that candidates should possess “television-ready charisma” and that hospitality crew members should “navigate every extravagant desire of their well-to-do guests in the French countryside.”
“Vanderpump Rules” took pop culture by storm last year when a cheating scandal involving a cast member known as “Scandoval” completely changed the show’s momentum. Season 11 premiered in January, and two of Scandoval’s three main contestants, Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval, returned for the new season. Rachel Levis, the drama’s third main character, did not return.
This show is produced by Bunim/Murray Productions. Entertainment 360 is also on board as a producer.
“Villa” premiered on Hulu on April 1st.
