How to watch NFL games online in 2023

Football lovers may be asking how to watch live games without cable as the 2023 NFL season gets underway on Thursday, September 7. We’ll go through where to watch every NFL game online and which streaming service is worth signing up for this season.

Live TV streaming services with these four channels are your best bet for watching the most NFL game coverage:

  • NBC: Host to 17 Sunday Night Football games, including the Detroit Lions vs. Kansas City Chiefs season opener.
  • ESPN: The majority of Monday Night Football games are broadcast.
  • CBS: has AFC games.
  • Fox: carries local NFC games.

Football lovers can also check out the NFL Network because it offers unique broadcasts of games like the Thanksgiving tripleheader, four overseas games, eight regular-season games and more.

Additionally, there is NFL RedZone, which offers fans access to additional NFL programming and is only open on Sunday afternoons during the regular season.

How to watch NFL games without cable

DirecTV Online

Given that it carries all four channels as well as ABC, which will air four exclusive Monday Night Football games, DirecTV Stream is a good option for streaming in-market games. It is, however, the most expensive choice.

The NFL Network has recently been introduced to DirecTV’s Choice plan ($99.99/month) and Sports Pack add-on package ($14.99/month). NFL RedZone will also be included for the first time in Sports Pack at this time.

Sling TV

Try Sling TV if you’re a fan searching for a more cheap choice. To obtain the most coverage, viewers must subscribe to the $60 per month Orange and Blue plan. The $11 monthly Sports Extra add-on includes the NFL RedZone channel.

Hulu Live TV

Football fans have access to local teams thanks to Hulu Live TV, which costs $69.99 a month and features CBS, Fox, ESPN, and NBC. NFL Network and NFL Red Zone are only available to subscribers who add the sports package for a monthly fee of $11. One of the few streaming services that doesn’t provide a free trial is Hulu Live TV.

Fubo

The live TV streaming service, formerly known as FuboTV, delivers all regional and primetime games. Like Hulu Live TV, it provides a sports add-on ($11/month) for viewers who want access to the NFL RedZone channel. The Pro plan costs $70 a month. Fubo, however, offers a free trial, unlike Hulu Live TV.

In addition, Fubo stands out since it provides 4K streaming, which can be a selling point for viewers who are interested in that kind of thing. Competitor YouTube TV has 4K functionality as well, but subscribers must pay $9.99 per month for the 4K Plus add-on.

The Super Bowl and playoff games on Fox will both be broadcast in 4K.

YouTube TV

Access to NFL games, including those scheduled to air on the NFL Network, Fox, CBS, ESPN, and NBC, is also available on YouTube TV. Priced at $72.99 a month, YouTube TV.

Fans who want NFL Redzone must, of course, pay an additional $11/month for its Sports Plus a subscription.

NFL Sunday Ticket is the solution for subscribers who want to stream Sunday afternoon games from outlying markets. This year, YouTube acquired the only rights to the package, which is now offered on YouTube Primetime Channels as a solo subscription or as a YouTube TV add-on. Seasonal pricing for NFL Sunday Ticket is $349.

NFL+

The NFL app contains NFL+, the league’s exclusive streaming platform. Live local and primetime regular season games, access to the NFL Network, and NFL Redzone (only for Premium subscribers) are all included in the package, which costs $6.99 per month. Livestreams have one caveat: they can only be seen on mobile devices.

Amazon Prime Video

Thursday Night Football games are only available on the Amazon-owned streaming service Prime Video for the second year in a row. Each month of Prime Video costs $14.99.

Notably, the streamer will also broadcast the opening Black Friday game, which is open to all fans and is not subscription-required.

Peacock

All of the NBC Sunday Night Football games are available to stream on Peacock. On December 23, the streamer will host an exclusive NFL regular season game for the first time. On January 13, it will also stream an NFL Wild Card game in prime time.

To get NFL coverage, subscribers must sign up for the $5.99 premium package.

Paramount+

Users of Paramount+ have access to their local CBS station, allowing them to view the majority of CBS’s live NFL broadcasts. The streamer also provides live CBS programmes from CBS Sports HQ, CBS Sports Golazo Network, and other CBS networks.

Both Paramount+ Essential and Paramount+ with Showtime cost $5.99 per month.
