The BET Awards in 2023, known as “culture’s biggest night.”
This Sunday, June 25, the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles will host the 2023 BET Awards once more. This year’s ceremony will only be open to nominees and select guests. As a result, attendees will need to tune in to the live broadcast in order to catch the evening’s high-powered performances and awards.
The event will air simultaneously on Logo, MTV, MTV2, TV Land, and VH1 in addition to being broadcast live on BET at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET. Through live TV streamers like DirecTV Stream, FuboTV, and Sling TV, people who have cut their cable can also watch the event live and on demand.
This year, Drake and Glorilla have received the most nominations, with seven and six awards, respectively. Drake and 21 Savage are up for best group, best collaboration for their radio hit “Wait for U” with Future and Tems, and album of the year for “Her Loss.” Glorilla contends with Drake in the best coordinated effort class two times: once for her collaboration with Hitkidd in the film “F.N.F. Let’s Go,” and once with Cardi B in the film “Tomorrow 2.” The Memphis rapper’s album “Anyways, Life’s Great” is also up for album of the year.
21 Savage and Lizzo received the third most nominations, with five each, followed by four each from Beyoncé, Burna Boy, Chris Brown, Ice Spice, and SZA.
There are always a lot of performances at the ceremony. In addition to GloRilla and Bel-Air’s Coco Jones and nominees Ice Spice and Latto, it is anticipated that Fat Joe, Remy Ma, Chief Keef, DJ Unk, E-40, and Fast Life Yungstaz & Easton (F.L.Y.) will perform.
