When was the last time James Taylor performed in Arizona?

Taylor and his All-Star Band made their final appearance in the Grand Canyon State at Footprint Center. According to setlist.fm, the July 2022 performance covered Taylor’s 50-year career and included famous soft rock staples such as “You’ve Got a Friend,” “Fire and Rain,” and “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You).”

Taylor, 76, was a part of Southern California’s legendary Laurel Canyon music scene in the late 1960s and early 1970s. His second album, 1970’s “Sweet Baby James,” ranked 182 on the most recent Rolling Stone 500 Greatest Albums of All Time list.

Taylor has been nominated for 19 Grammy Awards and holds six golden gramophone medals. His most recent album, “American Standard,” received the Grammy for best traditional pop vocal album in 2021.

In addition to being a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame, he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2015.
