The first single from Lana Del Rey’s upcoming 10th studio album, “The Right Person Will Stay,” which is scheduled for release on May 21, “Henry, Come On,” is now available in its entirety.
In January 2024, the singer-songwriter used an Instagram audio sample to reveal the single for the first time. Del Rey reshared the album’s artwork on Thursday, showing her wearing a lacy white dress with the message, “Henry, Come On,” in the upper left corner. Along with photographer Neil Krug, makeup artist Tyron Machhausen, hair stylist Anna Cofone, and collaborators Luke Laird, Drew Erickson, and Dean Reid, she did tag.
“The Right Person Will Stay” was announced last November with Del Rey writing on Instagram: “So grateful that my 13 tracks came together with my beautiful work between Luke, Jack, Zach and Drew Erickson amongst others. Happy for you to hear a few songs coming up before Stagecoach starting with Henry. Love Always.”
Before starting summer tours around the UK and Ireland, Shwe will play at Stagecoach on April 25.
She was originally expected to make a country album called “Lasso,” but it seems like that idea has changed a little over time.
She told Vogue Italia, “originally, me and the label were excited because the energy of the music of the album was meant to reflect my new life. Now, I’m not so sure, but I’m usually pretty good with my own timing. I might turn it into something more ‘Southern gothic,’ like it was meant to be from the start, and less country.”
