Lauren Sanchez: Everything to Know About Jeff Bezos’ Fiancee

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos denied rumors that he and his fiancée Lauren Sanchez will tie the knot in Aspen, Colorado, next Saturday for a wedding worth $600 million. After The New York Post revealed that the couple, who have been dating since 2019, were planning an extravagant wedding with a winter wonderland theme, the millionaire was compelled to make a denial.

The following information relates to Lauren Sanchez:

A second-generation Mexican-American family welcomed Lauren Sanchez into the world on December 19, 1969, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

She started out as a broadcast journalist, doing news anchoring and entertainment reporting. She was an anchor for Going Deep at Fox Sports Net, where she was nominated for an Emmy, and she later worked as an entertainment reporter for Best Damn Sports Show Period. She rejoined KCOP-TV in 1999 as an anchor for UPN News 13, when she and the team took home an Emmy.

She became well-known for co-hosting the morning show Good Day LA, which she worked on from 2011 until 2017. Additionally, Ms. Sanchez appeared in a number of movies, such as Ted 2, Flight Club, and The Longest Yard.

The first female-owned airborne film and production firm of its kind was Black Ops Aviation, which Lauren Sanchez founded in 2016. Her childhood desire of being a flight attendant—a dream that was initially rejected because of her weight—inspired her passion for flying. Later on, she obtained her license to fly helicopters. Ms. Sanchez, a proficient helicopter pilot, provided consulting services for big film projects, such as the 2017 Christopher Nolan picture Dunkirk.

Lauren Sanchez had two children, Ella and Evan, with Hollywood agent Patrick Whitesell, her previous partner. She also has a son, Nikko, who is 23 years old, from her relationship to Tony Gonzalez, a former NFL player.

In 2018, Ms. Sanchez started dating Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, and the two went public in July 2019, just after Mr. Bezos’s divorce from his first wife, MacKenzie Scott, was finalized.

The Bezos Earth Fund, which was established by her partner Jeff Bezos and focuses on preventing climate change and protecting the environment, has her as its vice chair.

She wrote a bilingual children’s book called The Fly Who Flew to Space in September 2024.
