A free dozen original glazed doughnuts are also being given away to customers who were born on February 29; no purchase is required. According to Krispy Kreme, proof of birth is necessary.

The donut chain offered the ultimate SOS to customers at participating retailers, offering free His OG donuts after tens of thousands of customers were affected by a nationwide telecommunications outage.
“SOS? Our food is being delivered while yours is unavailable! From 5-7 p.m. today, anyone who struggled with service can get a FREE Original Glazed® doughnut, according to a post on Krispy Kreme’s Instagram account.
