The much-awaited selection show took place on Sunday, March 9, marking the official start of the 2025 NCAA NCAA DII Women’s Tournament journey. The 64-team bracket was revealed live on NCAA.com, and fans tuned in at 10:30 p.m. ET.
There are 64 teams in the event this year, including 23 automatic qualifiers. Teams will compete in regional matches to earn a place in the elite Women’s Elite Eight once the action begins. From March 24 to 28, the tournament will take place at the UMPC Cooper Fieldhouse in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with the best eight teams from the regionals moving on to the final round.
