Megan Thee Stallion Announces ‘In Her Words’ Prime Video Documentary

Megan Thee Stallion will soon be rocking the screen instead of the stage.

The three-time Grammy Award winner announced the feature-length documentary on Instagram today, which is set to be released on Prime Video on October 31st.

“Hotties” Stallion, née Megan Pete, began by alluding to the name adopted by her fans: “my documentary is out Oct 31st💜 I’m nervous and excited for yall to see it butttt it’s finally here.”

The post included a picture of the rapper and singer from “Her,” looking off to the side while illuminated by a spotlight and decked out in a diamond choker. “Her Story. Her Life” was the subheading of the document, which was named In Her Words.

It`s no coincidence that Stallion`s documentary is popping out on Halloween: As superfans can attest, the vacation is amongst Stallion`s favorites, with the songwriter commemorating the occasion with pop-up concerts (this year`s in Chicago) and an annual posting of herself sporting a carved pumpkin on her head. Since her upward push to the pinnacle of the charts, the spooky day has been lovingly dubbed “Hottieween.”

Per reports, the Amazon MGM Studios manufacturing tapped the Emmy-prevailing Nneka Onuorah (Lizzo`s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls) as director. The movie guarantees an “unprecedented” check out the lifestyles of the “Mamushi” rapper and longtime intellectual fitness advocate. A logline reads: “Follow the Houston native’s journey on the road to stardom as she tenaciously navigates fame, grief, pressure and success. The documentary unpacks Megan’s most vulnerable moments in a powerful way that allows fans to meet the real Megan Pete.”

Stallion recently took part in Pepsi’s relaunch of the brand’s “We Will Rock You” ad, which was first introduced 20 years ago by Britney Spears, Beyoncé, and Pink. The NFL season TV promo was linked to the impending Ridley Scott-directed Gladiator II and included Stallion’s modern version on the Queen classic along with appearances by Lamorne Morris, Jake Lacy, and Travis Kelce. She just finished her first headline concert tour and is fresh from hosting the 2024 VMAs.
