Microsoft Copliot: What is it?

The term “Microsoft Copilot” refers to the AI companion that will work with all of Microsoft’s products and services, such as Microsoft 365, Windows 11, Edge, and Bing. Users of the various Microsoft applications will be able to receive AI support from Copilot in nearly every aspect of their operations.

For example, Copilot will be integrated into the Microsoft 365 suite of applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams, to optimise your workflow across them. Since instance, you could create text and tables in Word, summarise and drafting emails in Outlook, and create Python visualisations in Excel.

Is Microsoft Copilot already available?

The release dates vary because Microsoft Copilot will be integrated into a number of Microsoft products.

  • Starting on September 26, a free Windows 11 improve will make Copilot available to Windows 11 users.
  • In the fall, Copilot will start to roll out to Bing and Edge.
  • On November 1st, Microsoft 35 Copilot will start to roll out to enterprise clients, and this fall, it will do the same for all other users.

Is Microsoft Copilot now accessible?

No, Microsoft Copilot is not accessible right now as of September 22. On September 26, though, it will be available with Windows 11.

Microsoft Copilot is it free?

The price of Microsoft Copilot varies depending on the application it is integrated into.

Starting November 1, enterprise clients may purchase Microsoft 365 Copilot for a staggering $30 per user per month.

For comparison, the cost of the add-on is higher than the $12 to $23 per user per month lower-end Microsoft 365 business subscription plans, and nearly equal to the $38 per month cost of the highest-end Office 365 E5 corporate subscription plan from Microsoft.

In contrast, Microsoft stated that for the remaining applications, “Copilot will begin to roll out in its early form as part of our free update to Windows 11, starting Sept. 26 — and across Bing, Edge, and Microsoft 365 Copilot this fall.”

Microsoft 365 Copliot: What is it?

The Copilot AI assistant has been integrated into the Microsoft 365 productivity software suite, which includes Teams, Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, and is referred to as Microsoft 365 Copliot.

What is Microsoft 365 Chat?

The Microsoft 365 Copliot experience includes Microsoft 365 Chat. It is a chat interface with access to your data from all of your Microsoft office apps, allowing it to respond to inquiries and help with tasks.

For instance, by selecting “summarize unread messages,” Microsoft 365 Chat will search through all of your 365 Applications and provide you with a brief rundown of everything you missed.

Additionally, it can help you catch up on missed meetings, get documents, and provide answers based on the data you have in your documents, meetings, chats, and other sources.

What does Google’s Copilot compare to?

Google’s Duet AI, a competitor to Microsoft Copilot, was announced in late August. The Google Workspace will include tools like Google Docs, Slides, Meet, Gmail, Chat, and more that are linked with Duet AI as an assistant.

The general public has not yet received Duet AI. The number of employees at the prospective user’s organisation, if they are a Google Workspace customer, and contact information are all requested on this form, which users can use to request a trial.
