Motorola has officially introduced the Edge 60 Fusion, the first phone in its midrange Edge 60 series—and it comes with a unique design twist: a faux-canvas finish. Priced at £299.99 (around $390) in the UK, the phone combines slim aesthetics with budget-friendly specs.
The canvas-effect finish is exclusive to the “amazonite” (teal) version, while the blue and pink variants feature a faux-leather texture. No matter the color, every Edge 60 Fusion model boasts IP68 and IP69 ratings, meaning it’s fully dustproof and resistant to water immersion and high-pressure sprays.
International specs vary slightly, but the UK model packs a 5,200mAh battery behind its 6.67-inch OLED display, all while staying under 8mm thick. Other regions get an even larger 5,500mAh battery, though at the cost of a slightly thicker build.
With its eye-catching finishes, durable build, and competitive pricing, the Edge 60 Fusion looks set to make a splash in the midrange market.
The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion is more than just an attractive device; it boasts up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. However, its performance might be constrained by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 or 7400 chipset, depending on the market. While the distinction between the two chipsets is slight, both are considered midrange, which means the phone may not match the performance of flagship models.
The camera configuration is also fairly basic. Although it features four rear lenses, two of them are merely a flash and a flicker sensor. The primary camera system includes a 50MP main sensor and a 13MP ultrawide lens—adequate for casual photography but not particularly impressive for serious enthusiasts.
The Fusion is likely the first in a series of Edge 60 models, following last year’s Edge 50 lineup, which included five different variants. Similar to the Edge 50 series, the Edge 60 phones may not be available in the U.S., leaving American consumers with options like the $299.99 Moto G Power. While it lacks the Fusion’s OLED display and sleek canvas finish, it does provide wireless charging.
Looking ahead, Motorola is anticipated to unveil new Razr flip phones soon, with speculation about a wooden finish that pays homage to the wood-backed Moto X from 2014.
