The Netflix limited series Zero Day has cast Mozhan Navabi (The Blacklist) in a recurring role as Melissa Kornblau.
Zero Day presents a question from its creators and executive producers: How can we discover truth in a world in crisis, one that seems to be being torn apart by forces beyond our control? Eric Newman (Narcos), Noah Oppenheim (Jackie), and Michael Schmidt. In a time where deceit and conspiracy theories are common, how much of those forces are the result of our own actions, or perhaps just our imaginings?
The protagonist of the story is Mullen (Robert De Niro), a well-liked but complex character who is called out of retirement to lead a commission investigating a global cyberattack.
The show also stars Angela Bassett, Dan Stevens, Matthew Modine, Bill Camp, McKinley Belcher III, Gabby Hoffman, Clark Gregg, Mark Ivanir, Lizzy Caplan, Jesse Plemons, Joan Allen, Connie Britton will also appear.
In addition to Newman, Oppenheim, and Schmidt, De Niro, Panoramic Media’s Jonathan Glickman, and director Leslie Linka Glatter will also serve as executive producers.
Navabi most recently starred as “Nahid” opposite Jesse Eisenberg in the FX Limited Series Fleishman Is In Trouble. She previously starred in Maid on Netflix and Hulu, as well as Pam & Tommy and Ramy. Other notable TV appearances include two seasons of Netflix’s House of Cards, five seasons of NBC’s The Blacklist, and two seasons of Showtime’s The Affair. Her filmography includes Charlie Wilson’s War, The Stoning of Soraya M., and A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night.
