Nicki Minaj Releases “Bigfoot,” Her New Song, Amid Feud With Megan Thee Stallion

Nicki Minaj‘s “Bigfoot” is coming soon.

The new song, which according to Minaj will be released on Sunday, January 28 at 3 p.m. PST, seems to be a reaction to Megan Thee Stallion’s alleged diss on her recently released single “Hiss.”

Late on Saturday night (Jan. 27), Minaj posted on X (formerly Twitter) with the hashtag “Tomorrow 3PM PST #BIGFOOT.”

The cover art for The Queen of Rap’s post depicts a high-heeled pink boot entering a much larger footprint that is imprinted in pink concrete. The picture is displayed next to a close-up of Megan’s upset face. Following her onslaught of postings, #Bigfoot trended on X.

Referencing Megan’s Law, a federal statute mandating law enforcement to make information about registered sex offenders available, Megan takes a clear shot at Nicki’s husband, registered sex offender Kenneth Petty, in her angry new track “Hiss.”

“These hoes don’t be mad at Megan, these hoes mad at Megan’s Law/ I don’t really know what the problem is, but I guarantee y’all don’t want me to start/ B—h, you a p—y, never finna check me/ Every chance you get, bet your weak ass won’t address me,” the Stallion raps on the song.

Not long after the song’s release on Friday, January 26, Minaj took to Instagram Live to share a sneak peek of an untitled song directed at Meg, alluding to the Houston artist’s 2020 foot injury at the hands of Tory Lanez. The Canadian crooner was sent to prison after the shooting case was resolved last year.

In the video, Nicki raps, “Bad b—h she like six foot, I call her big foot/ The b—h fell off, I said get up on your good foot.”

The rapper known as “Super Bass” laughed at her clever wording and then looped back the acrimonious song several times before mocking Megan’s live rapping skills, saying, “You have three Grammys and you have to learn how to rap on the beat and be comfortable in the music.”

Apart from the debut of her single “Bigfoot,” Minaj also published a lot of other postings on X taking jabs at Megan Thee Stallion.

“It’s been rdy for 2 days. just was tryna be cool & let her get her lil streams. wasn’t gon say anything. But I remember how everyone kept my name in their mouth & how I said the next person mention my family gon regret it. Btw, they haven’t even heard the song. Who said it’s even a ‘diss’?” she tweeted.

For her role in 2019’s “Hot Girl Summer,” which debuted at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 list, Nicki also stated that she did not charge Meg. Ty Dolla $ign is also featured in the song.

“Didn’t charge her for the hot girl summer verse that I recorded the night she BEGGED & BEGGED to go on my live. But it’s ok. My n—a Pluto charged her 250K for his verse,” Minaj wrote on X.

Additionally, Nicki made hints about having a back catalogue of unreleased songs that might eventually be made public.

LilJuMadeDaBeat and Bankroll Got It co-produced “Hiss,” which is the second track that will be included on Megan’s upcoming third album. Two months had passed since the rock-infused single “Cobra,” her first independent single after leaving 1501 Certified Entertainment, and the release of the new song. “Cobra” became her ninth top 10 hit on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs (No. 10), and it reached at No. 32 on the Billboard Hot 100.
