The Cincinnati Reds return to the diamond for Opening Day on March 27.
Great American Ball Park will host the home team’s first game of the 2025 regular season against the San Francisco Giants. The MLB season officially began last week in Japan, but 26 other teams also play on March 27.
SeatGeek, the Reds’ official ticketing partner, is selling tickets for the team’s home opener online for about $110.

When does MLB’s 2025 season begin?
Last week, March 18–19, Japan hosted the opening games of the 2025 Major League Baseball season. During the Tokyo Series, the Los Angeles Dodgers, the reigning World Series champions, defeated the Chicago Cubs twice, 4-1 and 6-3. In MLB history, this was the sixth time a season opener was held in Japan.
