Oscars 2024 are soon upon us!
At the 96th Academy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night, some of the biggest personalities in Hollywood will receive awards.
Here’s what you should know in advance of the highly anticipated awards ceremony.
When and where are the Oscars?
The Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood will host the 96th Academy Awards on March 10.
ABC will broadcast the program live at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT. This time slot is one hour earlier than previous years.
When is the red carpet event on ABC?
Watch live interviews from the red carpet with some of the night’s presenters and nominees by tuning into ABC’s official pre-show, “Countdown to Oscars: On the Red Carpet Live!”
From 1-4 p.m. ET on ABC News Live, the pre-show featuring “ABC News Live Prime” anchor Linsey Davis and “Good Morning America” weekend co-anchor Whit Johnson will be available for viewing.

Vanessa Hudgens and Julianne Hough will host the 30-minute pre-show “Oscar Red Carpet Show” starting at 6:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
Who will be nominated for the Oscars in 2024?
Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer is the most nominated film of the year with 13 nominations in total. Yorgos Lanthimos’ “Poor Things” follows closely with 11 nominations, followed by Martin Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon” with 10 nominations.
Bradley Cooper’s “Maestro” gets seven nominations, while Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” is nominated for eight.
“American Fiction,” “Anatomy of a Fall,” “Barbie,” “The Holdovers,” “Killers of the Flower Moon,” “Maestro,” “Oppenheimer,” “Past Lives,” “Poor Things,” and “The Zone of Interest” are among the movies vying for the coveted best picture Oscar. This year, who is hosting?

Jimmy Kimmel will return as his 2024 Academy Awards host, marking his fourth time hosting the awards ceremony.
Who will be presenting this year?
Stars such as Emily Blunt, Ryan Gosling, Jennifer Lawrence, Dwayne Johnson, Mahershala Ali, Matthew McConaughey, Al Pacino, Zendaya, and Bad Bunny will take to the stage and perform during the show. I’ll show it off.
Who’s performing this year?
All five songs nominated in the Best Original Song category will be performed during the show.
Ryan Gosling joins Mark Ronson on stage to perform “I’m Just Ken” from “Barbie.” Another big hit from the blockbuster movie, “What Was I Made For?”, performed by Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell.
Jon Batiste will play “It Never Went Away” from “American Symphony,” Becky G will perform “The Fire Inside” from “Flamin’ Hot,” and Scott George and the Osage Singers will perform “Wahzhazhe (A Song For My People)” from “Killers of the Flower Moon.”
