If you joined Threads right away and are now receiving a lot of notifications because all of your Instagram followers have joined the new social media platform, here’s how to turn off those annoying notifications until things calm down a little.
- Tap the profile icon in the Threads app, which is located in the bottom right corner of the screen.
- In the top right of your profile, tap the two-line menu icon.
- Tap Notifications.
- To stop all notifications for a set time frame, toggle on the switch close to Respite All: There are options for 15 minutes, one hour, two hours, four hours, and eight hours.
- To quit being informed each time somebody follows you, tap Following and supporters, and mood killer warnings there. Options to stop alerts for new followers, account suggestions, and Threads joined by users who have been pre-followed can also be found here.
The last choice connects with every one individuals you follow on Instagram who are joining Strings, so it’s presumably the one you need to switch off assuming you joined on the very beginning.
