Rico Nasty is stepping into a bold new era. The genre-bending rapper has officially announced her upcoming album ‘Lethal’, a high-energy rap-rock fusion set to release on May 16 via Fueled by Ramen.
Known for her fearless experimentation, the Maryland-born artist has long blended punk, hip-hop, and alternative influences to create her signature “sugar trap” sound. Lethal marks her first full-length project since Las Ruinas (2022) and sees Rico fully embracing the rock-infused style she’s been hinting at throughout her career.
The album announcement arrived on February 20 alongside the release of its lead single, “Teethsucker (Yea3x),” a grunge-heavy anthem packed with raw intensity. The accompanying music video captures Rico’s rebellious energy as she drenches a crowd with a water hose, setting the tone for the album’s electrifying sound.
In a statement, Rico Nasty described Lethal as a declaration of confidence and independence.
“This album is about standing your ground, not letting anyone tell you how to do things. People will try to box you in, slam doors in your face, but when you stay true to yourself, you win. Lethal is an anthem for self-belief.”
The 15-track album will further push the boundaries of Rico’s genre-blending style, following in the footsteps of her punk-infused Nightmare Vacation (2020) and the experimental Las Ruinas (2022). With tracks like “Soul Snatcher,” “Grave,” and “Son of a Gun,” fans can expect an adrenaline-fueled ride through high-energy beats, distorted guitars, and Rico’s signature fiery delivery.
Beyond the studio, Rico Nasty has been merging hip-hop and rock in her live performances, recently touring with electronic punk duo 100 gecs and collaborating with artists like Doja Cat, Denzel Curry, and hyperpop producer Dylan Brady.
Fans can now pre-order Lethal, with exclusive merch and a limited-edition silver saw blade vinyl available for collectors.
