According to a corporate representative who spokeon Thursday, In-N-Out Burger has submitted a development application to the City of Ridgefield.
The company is “hopeful for a positive outcome” as it pursues permissions, despite the fact that the project is still “very early in the development process,” the spokeswoman stated.
The In-N-Out location would be part of the Union Ridge Town Center.
If In-N-Out receives a building permit, it typically takes eight to nine months for the restaurant to be built and open, a company spokesperson said. The company did not comment on a timeline, such as an opening date or when development approvals would be received.
Ridgefield In-N-Out will be the first location in Washington state. Currently the closest location is Salem, Oregon.
“Working closely with In-N-Out’s team to ensure they are not only creating enough queuing spaces to avoid backups onto roads, but also that the design of the building will be unique, high-quality, and complementary to Ridgefield,” the city said in a statement.
Previous restaurant openings such as Chick-fil-A’s have caused traffic problems in Washington due to their popularity.
“We look forward to the possibility of being a part of the Ridgefield community, and having this great location to serve our customers,” a statement from the company reads.
His first In-N-Out he opened in Baldwin Park, California in 1948. By 1958, there were five Southern California stores in the San Gabriel Valley. In 1973 he had 13 stores, all in Los Angeles County. This number he increased to 32 by 1984.
In 2023, In-N-Out opens its 400th store in Meridian, Idaho.
