As the second season of The Last of Us on HBO approaches, Sony is making it easier for new players to dive into the game. The company has just unveiled The Last of Us Complete for the PS5, which is precisely what it sounds like: a bundle that includes both The Last of Us Part I and Part II, along with additional features such as a roguelike mode and a collection of “lost levels.”
While enhanced versions of both games are already available for PS5, this new collection offers a straightforward way for those who have recently discovered the series through the show to get started. This timing is likely intentional, as the second season of the HBO series is set to premiere on April 13th.
However, if you’re looking for a physical copy of the complete edition, you’ll need to be patient. The downloadable version is available today, but the physical collector’s edition—featuring a steelbook case, art prints, and comic books—won’t be released until July 10th and will be exclusive to PlayStation’s official store.
Season 2 of The Last of Us picks up five years after the events of the first season, continuing the story of Joel and Ellie as they navigate new challenges in a post-apocalyptic world. The upcoming season will consist of seven episodes and will be available on HBO and Max in the U.S., with streaming options on JioHotstar for viewers in India.
