Get ready for the big return of everyone’s favorite lethal game show.
As part of its Tudum Global Fan Event in Brazil, Netflix released exclusive new details for the second season of its wildly popular South Korean thriller series “Squid Game.”
A new teaser for the second season of “Squid Game” revealed both new and returning cast members, with series lead Lee Jung-jae reprising his role as the cash-strapped everyman Seong Gi-hun. Lee Byung-hun will play the masked character of “Front Man” again for Season 2, as will Wi Ha-jun, who plays the cop in search of his missing brother who gets caught up in the deadly game behind the scenes.
New cast members Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon, and Yang Dong-geun will join the series, which premiered in 2021 and won six Primetime Emmys.
Even though his involvement in the game was revealed to be a little more complicated at the conclusion of the show’s first season, standout cast member Oh Yeong-su, who played the elderly and unassuming Oh Il-nam, has not been confirmed as a returning cast member.
Season 2 of “Squid Game” did not yet have a specific release date.
