Next week, Starbucks plans to remove a few “less popular beverages” from its menus.
In an attempt to increase sales and give consumers priority, new CEO Brian Niccol has implemented measures that he says would help the coffee chain located in Seattle get “back to Starbucks.”
Starbucks has changed its open-door policy under Niccol’s leadership, revealed new and returning coffeehouse facilities, and is planning layoffs this week in addition to a menu overhaul.
Starbucks announced last month that it would start to “optimize” its menu options, which would lead to a 30% decrease in food and beverage items by the end of the fiscal year.
A number of “less popular” drinks, like as some Frappuccino-style blended drinks, will be removed from the menu as of March 4. Below is a complete list of Starbucks beverages that are being discontinued.
“We’re simplifying our menu to focus on fewer, more popular items, executed with excellence. This will make way for innovation, help reduce wait times, improve quality and consistency, and align with our core identity as a coffee company,” Starbucks said in a statement.

One of three factors caused to the drinks’ removal: they were either difficult to manufacture, not frequently ordered, or they were too similar to other drinks on the menu.
Among the drinks that will be removed are the Royal Breakfast Latte, White Hot Chocolate, and a number of Frappuccino-style blended drinks.
According to Starbucks representative Erin Stan, the whole list is as follows:
- Espresso Frappuccino
- Caffe Vanilla Frappuccino
- Java Chip Frappuccino
- White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino
- Chai Creme Frappuccino
- Caramel Ribbon Crunch Creme Frappuccino
- Double Chocolaty Chip Creme Frappuccino
- Chocolate Cookie Crumble Creme Frappuccino
- White Chocolate Creme Frappuccino
- White Hot Chocolate
- Royal English Breakfast Latte
- Iced Matcha Lemonade
- Honey Almondmilk Flat White
Returning and new goods will be available soon
In the spring, Starbucks will launch a new Iced Cherry Chai and Jalapeño Chicken Pocket in addition to bringing back its “beloved” Lavender drinks, even though some of them may soon be removed.
What is the reason behind Starbucks removing drinks on its menu?
According to reports, the less popular drinks were difficult to create and too similar to other, popular options, resulting in menu redundancy.
Starbucks claims that the drink cuts and some food changes represent a 30% reduction in menu offerings.
According to the brand, the changes are responding to consumer trends and preferences.
