The Texas Longhorns won the 2025 DI men’s swimming and diving national championships, marking their second title in five years. This victory also represents the 16th championship in the program’s history and the first since the retirement of Hall of Fame coach Eddie Reese in 2024.
With this victory, Texas coach Bob Bowman secured his second consecutive championship, having previously guided Arizona State to its inaugural title last season.
The Longhorns scored a total of 490 points, surpassing California, which finished in second place with 471 points.
The men’s championships took place at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center in Federal Way, Washington, from Wednesday, March 26, to Saturday, March 29. Below is the schedule of events and a complete list of qualified male divers.

History of DI Men’s Swimming Championships:
The NCAA Division I Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships have a rich history dating back to 1937. The event has seen dominant programs like Texas, Stanford, and California win multiple titles over the years.
In 2024, Arizona State made history by capturing its first-ever national title, scoring 523.5 points to defeat California (444.5 points). This victory marked a significant achievement for the Sun Devils’ program, showcasing their rise in collegiate swimming.
Historically, Texas holds the most team championships, with 15 titles, followed by Michigan (12) and Ohio State (11). Recent years have seen a competitive battle between California, Texas, and now Arizona State at the top of the rankings.
