U2 Announces Mysterious ‘Shadow’ Album Set to Drop in November

U2 fans are rejoicing as the Irish rock band announces the release of a 20th anniversary edition of their 2004 classic How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb and the accompanying 10-song Shadow album How To Re-Assemble An Atomic Bomb. Featuring a host of new and unreleased tracks created during the original album’s recording sessions in Dublin.

How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb is U2’s 11th studio album, released in November 2004. It was led by the now iconic single “Vertigo,” which reached number one in 34 countries worldwide, including the UK and the US.

Now, for the first time, the “Shadow Album” entitled How To Re-Assemble An Atomic Bomb is seeing the light of day. This companion album consists of 10 tracks from the original recording sessions for How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb, recently rediscovered in the band’s archives and released for the first time as a standalone album.

The Shadow album features four new songs that have never been heard before or have been previously released: “Treason”, “Evidence Of Life”, “Country Mile” and “Happiness”. There is also a song called “Luckiest Man In The World” that was released under the working title “Mercy” and was leaked online about 20 years ago but has now been officially released.
