Users of the well-known messaging software WhatsApp may now use a new function called Privacy Checkup. The new function will walk users through their privacy settings and help them in choosing the appropriate level of protection.
“New: Introducing Privacy Checkup. Take control of what you share and who you share it with,” WhatsApp said while announcing the feature.

Decide Who You Allow to Contact:
Users can now manage their contacts and block unwanted calls and messages. They can also handle blocked contacts, handle group additions, and quiet unknown callers.
Control Personal Information:
Users have the choice of who they want to share their online activity and status as well as other personal information with. Users can customise who can see their profile photo, manage read receipts, and decide who can see their last seen and online status.
Default Message Timer:
Privacy Checkup allows users to control end-to-end encrypted backups and the default message timeout, thereby limiting access to their messages and material.
Fingerprint Protection:
Users of WhatsApp can make use of the fingerprint lock and two-step verification control to increase security.

How Can You Use Privacy Checkup on WhatsApp?

Click on more options, select Privacy from the Settings menu. Find the “Start checkup” banner at the top of the screen, then press on it. To modify privacy settings, simply touch on the corresponding options for each section.
iPhone:
