Have you ever wanted to try a green Grinch doughnut? Now you have your chance.
Krispy Kreme announced Friday that its Original Glazed doughnuts will be green because the Grinch is in “maximum mischief mode.” The company said in a press release that the Grinch broke into a Krispy Kreme store and “evously mess with our mix and glazers,” turning the doughnuts green.
The doughnut chain is offering one free Original Glazed dozen with the purchase of any regular-priced dozen, including the new Green Grinch Dozen, available for two days only. The deal is only available on Friday and Saturday, and customers can only purchase in-store and at the drive-thru, with a limit of 20 per person, while supplies last.
The promotion comes on the heels of the company’s annual “Day of the Dozens” promotion on Thursday, which offered customers 12 free Original Glazed doughnuts when they bought even 12 of the regular-priced Original Glazed doughnuts.
Merry Grinchmas Doughnut Collection Still Available
Announced last month, the doughnut chain’s Merry Grinchmas Doughnut Collection is still available for a limited time. Each doughnut in the
Collection is based on a character from the 1966 Christmas classic, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”! It also includes two restocked doughnuts, the Santa Berry Doughnut and the Holiday Sprinkle Doughnut. New doughnuts in the
Collection include:
- Grinch Doughnut: A simple doughnut with “Coal” cookies and cream filling dipped in Grinch green icing, with chocolate icing and buttercream hair for a smug look.
- Grinchy Claus Doughnut: The original glazed donut dipped in chocolate icing and topped with white buttercream, Christmas Krispies and Grinch pieces.
- Cindy-Lou Who Merry Berry Tree Doughnut: The original glazed doughnut dipped in strawberry frosting featuring a green buttercream tree, sprinkled with festive garnishes and garnished with star pieces.
According to the doughnut chain, the doughnut collection will be sold in limited-edition customized Grinch Dozen boxes.
Customers can also get daily delivery of 12-packs or six-packs of Krispy Kreme’s Grinch Doughnuts, Cindy Lou Who’s Merry Berry Tree Doughnuts, Santa Berry Doughnuts and Holiday Sprinkle Doughnuts to select grocery stores for a limited time. Find your local shop or grocery store near you.
