WWE and A&E Collaborate for a Brand-New Competition Series

Two new shows and a new season of the popular docuseries WWE Rivals are part of A&E and WWE’s efforts to improve their relationship.

The WWE LFG (Legends & Future Greats) competition series, which will debut on A&E and WWE, will showcase up-and-coming talent competing for a coveted WWE contract in addition to in-ring matches.

Additionally, WWE and A&E have ordered WWE’s Greatest Moments, a series that examines significant occasions that have influenced WWE’s past. Additionally, A&E will premiere a fifth season of WWE Rivals this winter.

“Literally filled with blood, sweat, and tears, there’s never been a series that combines in-ring action, behind-the-scenes reality, high-stakes drama, and some of WWE’s greatest icons all in one package. From total unknowns to legends, ‘LFG’ will give viewers a raw, ground-up, 360-degree view of what it truly takes to make it in the WWE,” said Rob Sharenow, President of Programming, A+E Networks. “Our collaboration with WWE has clearly struck a chord with audiences, and we’re excited to continue producing premium content that resonates with a diverse viewership.”

WWE LFG will examine the intense training regimen, which includes trainers Undertaker, Booker T, Mickie James, and Bubba Ray Dudley who will coach the upcoming WWE stars in weekly contests, as well as WWE Legends Paul “Triple H” Levesque and Shawn Michaels. Levesque, Michaels, Jeremy Borash, Lee Fitting, and Ben Houser will serve as executive producers for WWE. Executive producers Brad Abramson and Elaine Frontain Bryant work for A&E.

A variety of WWE Superstars & Legends, such as “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, and Kevin Owens, will participate in the half-hour series, WWE’s Greatest Moments, hosted by play-by-play commentator Michael Cole. They will give their memories and viewpoints on the most noteworthy moments in wrestling history.

An unique look at Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins and Hulk Hogan vs. Ultimate Warrior will be featured in the upcoming season of WWE Rivals. Executive producers for WWE include Levesque, Fitting, Houser, and Marc Pomarico. WWE Greatest Moments and WWE Rivals on A&E are executive produced by Brad Abramson, Jonathan Partridge, and Elaine Frontain Bryant.

WWE Chief programming Officer Levesque stated, “A&E has proved to be an excellent home for WWE content, and we’re excited to partner with their fantastic team on these new show concepts and the latest season of WWE Rivals.”
