WWE Drops Veteran Star Amidst Major Talent Purge—Find Out Who’s Gone!

Elektra Lopez is the most recent name to be dropped from the active roster in the wave of WWE releases that started on February 8 and has now reached a total of 12. The 32-year-old was subtly transferred to WWE’s alumni sector, which is frequently an indication that a superstar is leaving.

Along with Authors of Pain (Akam and Rezar), Paul Ellering, Sonya Deville, Blair Davenport, Duke Hudson, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, Isla Dawn, and Giovanni Vinci, Lopez is the latest in a long line of artists to be released.

It is currently unknown if Lopez will be subject by a 90-day non-compete agreement, which would prevent her from signing with and showing up for a promotion. She could quickly look into other options in promotions like AEW, TNA, or NJPW if she were not restricted.

Lopez never ever settled in, either in NXT or on the main roster, even after signing with WWE in 2021. As a member of Legado del Fantasma, she was mainly featured, alternating between management and in-ring competition. Even though she had her moments, she was never able to win a championship and only sparely wrestled in the last several years.

The Youngest Mission Registry section speculates whether WWE is creating space for new signings or going through further restructuring. Once details are displayed, fans will watch carefully to see where these published stars will land next.

Elektra Lopez’s final WWE match appears to have been held on December 6, 2024 at SmackDown with a triple threat against Naomi and Tiffany Stratton. Her departure raises questions about why she didn’t receive greater.

Lopez, who wrestled under her own name, Karissa Rivera, has a modest 3.21 rating on CageMatch.net, but opinions on her skills are still subjective. Legado del Fantasma is further destroyed by her departure, leaving Humberto, Angel, and Santos Escobar as its remaining members. It will be interesting to see whether WWE decides to add someone to cover the gap.

Beyond Legado del Fantasma, a number other factions have been severely affected by WWE’s most recent series of cuts:

  • With the publication of Authors of Pain and Paul Ellering, Final Testament is effectively dissolved, leaving Karrion Kross and Scarlett alone.
  • Even though the O.C. was already in trouble, it’s safe to state that AJ Styles’ stable is history now that Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows are no longer there.
  • Alba Fyre no longer has a tag partner as a result of Isla Dawn’s departure, ending the Unholy Union.
  • With Sonya Deville no longer leading Pure Fusion Collective, Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark are having difficulty making an impression.

There are so many factions that the WWE Rasch team landscape is being developed. It is still unclear whether the company will introduce fresh stables or focus on increasing individual superstars.

The effect on the women’s rosters on SmackDown and Raw is the other important lesson to be learned from this round of releases. Four ladies have been removed from the roster as a result of this roster sweep.

You would have to assume that at least a few NXT call-ups might be in line given the depth problems on both Raw and SmackDown. Jakara Jackson, Lash Legend, Roxanne Perez, and Stephanie Vaquer all appear to be potential candidates. Lash and Jackson have battled as a tag team on SmackDown, while Perez, Vaquer, and Lash participated in the Women’s Royal Rumble.

If they were all promoted soon, nobody would be shocked. Naturally, You send yours best wishes to the performers who have been forced to search elsewhere for a platform to showcase their skills. But I’m also curious to see what fresh talent is added and how the roster shakeup may affect some of the remaining Superstars.
