Young Thug’s new album, titled “Business Is Business,” will be released tonight, the incarcerated rapper confirmed on Thursday via social media.
The black-and-white cover art for the album depicts Thug in a courtroom with his co-defendants seated on either side of him. The rapper from Atlanta will release his first full-length album since “Punk” in 2021. It will also be his first project since he was arrested and jailed on RICO charges with fellow rapper Gunna and dozens of other people in a massive gang indictment.
Producer Metro Boomin posted the shared album artwork on Twitter with the following caption following Thug’s announcement: “BUSINESS IS BUSINESS AVAILABLE WORLDWIDE TONIGHT!! … FREE TWIN. I LOVE YOU.” Thug’s album likewise saw support from Drake, 21 Savage, Coi Leray and other people who shared the collection’s obscure commencement on their web-based entertainment pages a couple of days before its true declaration.
Even though he was released from jail in December after pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy, Gunna recently released his first album since their arrest, which was titled “A Gift & a Curse” and contained fifteen songs without any features.
A variety of offenses, including murder, drug and gun possession, witness intimidation, carjacking, robbery, theft, and drug dealing, were brought against Thug and other alleged members of the Young Slime Life gang, which is similar to Young Thug’s independent label, Young Stoner Life. There were 28 YSL-affiliated defendants named in the indictment, each of whom was charged with 56 counts of gang activity and racketeering; Gunna was accused of felonies like receiving stolen property and drug possession with the intent to distribute, according to the indictment.
